Is your student falling behind in school, when you know they could be excelling?

Does your student struggle to organize their workload and time?

If you’re always having to bail them out last minute for something (like digging through an endlessly messy backpack) -

What your student is experiencing is more common than you think.

Here's why you feel frustrated when you try to help.

Executive functioning is the ROOT of the problem, and it doesn’t mean your kid isn’t capable.

Just that there’s some missing skills.

Executive function skills are actually bigger than school. They are important for life!

I’m Dr. Lauran, a college professor empowering students and families to thrive in school through skill-building and emotional awareness.

Imagine…

  • In three months, your student consistently writes down their assignments and keeps track of what’s due when

  • In six months, your teen is getting organized for their long-term educational goals

  • In a year, your family adapts to new school demands and settings and communicates openly about them

It’s all possible when you build executive function one step at a time and provide your student with the right skill-building support.

You can help your student build the skills they need to thrive in school

About me

I help students and their families alter their lives through accessing education in a way that works for them.

I have 20 years of experience in education and have helped over countless students to hone in on executive function skills.

As the parent and spouse of people with ADHD and a college professor who teaches neurodiverse students, I understand additional factors that can make navigating school difficult. Plus, I’m someone who struggles with anxiety and perfectionism, so I know what it's like to feel like things are working against you.

That’s why it’s so important to know how to accommodate and encourage all types of students and keep keep things positive and practical!

My goal is to help your students find strategies that work for them, build the skills they need to foster independence in school and beyond, and help you best support your them.

I lived in England for 7 years and I’ve visited over 30 countries. Now, I live in Houston, Texas with my spouse, daughter, dog, and tortoise. We share a nerdy and adventurous life full of books, board games, and travels.
